Pinoy Pilgrim thanks typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) donors from the US

Manila, Philippines – Pinoy Pilgrim Global Foundation Inc.(PPGFI) founder Manoling de Leon announced today in a special briefing at the foundation’s headquarters in Greenhills, San Juan Metro Manila, the receipt of donation funds for typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) victims through a tie-up with U.S. based entities, Bodies in Motion and Step2together.

PPGFI recently partnered with these two entities for a fund-raising program held last November 28 and November 30, 2013. The events were spearheaded and organized Guada Bas through a letter of appeal to her clients. They were able to raise a total $2,385 US dollars.

The funds will be directed to rehabilitation and recovery efforts to help rebuild the lives of the victims of Yolanda. Practically the whole world contributed to the relief efforts in the Philippines but there were reports of goods and money not reaching the victims. Ms. Bas decided to entrust the funds the PPGFI to ensure it will be put to good use.

Pinoy Pilgrim Global Foundation Inc. members, officers and board of trustees would thank Guada Bas for organizing the events, Rolin San Juan of Bodies in Motion, Bethany Pettigrew of Step2gether and the 47 individual donors for their generosity and support. Their wonderful community in New Jersey came together through dance, movement and family fitness to raise funds.

In a text message from Manoling de Leon to her daughter Guada Bas “Guada dear, Wow. Absolutely fantastic. Please send to each of your lovely donors our heartfelt love and esteem, plus our grateful prayers that they receive lots of graces from the creator of the universe. Love you my sweetest. Kisses and hugs to you from your mommy and I”.

The working committee will make project recommendations to the board of trustees on how the foundation intends to use the funds. Project updates shall be posted on our website.
