Pinoy Pilgrim Global Foundation Inc. (Pinoy Pilgrim) donates a boat through the organization Tindog Tolosa, with the generous help of Guada Bas for organizing fund raising events in New Jersey. Special thanks goes to Rolin San Juan of Bodies in Motion, Bethany Pettigrew of Step2gether and the 47 individual donors for their generosity and support. Their wonderful community in New Jersey came together through dance, movement and family fitness to raise funds for the boat donation.
Tindog Tolosa is a social outreach project established after one of history’s most devastating typhoons Typhon Haiyan struck Leyte, Philippines. The actual recipient of the boat donation by Pinoy Pilgrim is fisherman Basilio Zabala. The goal of the donation is to enable Basilio to send at least one of his kids to college. Basilio is married, aged 51, and has seven kids. His eldest child is 22 years old while the youngest is 1 year old.
